The Third Annual Honor a STAR. Be a STAR. Gala with special guests Joe and Sue Paterno will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City. The Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA) is once again proud to have the admirable and legendary Hall of Fame Coach Joe Paterno as its official spokesperson. For more than three years, Joe and his wife, Sue, have been tirelessly dedicated to the CMTA. In 2009, and together with more than 200 guests, the CMTA recognized the Paternos for their lifetime of achievement at the Second Annual STAR Gala.
Join us this spring as we pay tribute to a new generation of stars who have contributed to the CMT cause and to ultimately help find a cure for CMT, the most commonly inherited peripheral neuropathy affecting 2.6 million people worldwide. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the CMTA and its Strategy to Accelerate Research (STAR™) initiative.
